Welcome to step number 18 of our Craftsman Kit Model Building Series where we’re going to be adding the windows to our Yard Office No3 Kit.
We will not have to use any blackout paper like black construction paper in this step, because we painted the original hydrocal piece with black spray paint. So when we install the windows, they’ll already be blacked out. The alternative is to cut out the window openings and either light up the inside of the structure or create a scene in the interior of the building.
We’ve got two types of windows for this kit, the first one is the Round Attic Window, 30″ diameter from Tichy Train Group. We show you how to put the acetate on these round windows and install them in the walls.
The other type of window is a laser-cut window that is specifically cut for the kit. And we’ll show you in this video how we install both of them!
In the next step, we’ll finally be assembling the structure and adding our decking/loading dock.
