This is step number 15 of the Foundations of Craftsman Kits series and we’re making the decking support structure that will go beneath the loading dock of the Yard Office No3 Kit.

For this step, we are going to stain the scale lumber with ink wash and cut the pieces to length using the bracing template that comes with the kit.

Once the scale lumber is dried, we then put a piece of masking tape upside down (sticky side up) on the top of the bracing template and tape it down, flat so we can assemble the bracing structure. We then wood glue the pieces of lumber together, with the tape holding the pieces down in-place until it is dry. Then we remove it from the tape.

The next step in video 16 will be to create the top decking planks and glue them down to the taskboard base.
